Local Lawmakers Invite Community to Share Love With Seniors Through Valentines for Seniors Card Drive

State Senator Jil Tracy, along with State Representatives C.D. Davidsmeyer and Kyle Moore, are inviting community members to help spread Valentine’s Day cheer by participating in their annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive, now underway through February 2, 2026.

“Each year, our community comes together to create heartfelt cards that bring smiles to our seniors and remind them they are valued and loved on Valentine’s Day,” said Senator Tracy. “It’s a simple gesture that can make a meaningful difference.”

The initiative encourages individuals, families, classrooms, and community groups to create homemade Valentine’s Day cards for seniors living in nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and long-term care centers throughout the district.

“Valentine’s Day is a time to show care and appreciation, and this card drive gives our community a meaningful way to reach out to seniors who may feel isolated,” said Rep. Davidsmeyer. “A simple, handwritten message can brighten someone’s day and remind them that they are not forgotten.”

“Our seniors have given so much to our communities, and this is a small way we can give back,” said Rep. Moore. “I encourage families, schools, and organizations to take part and help us spread kindness and compassion this Valentine’s Day.”

Completed cards may be mailed or dropped off at the district offices of Senator Tracy and Representatives Davidsmeyer and Moore. Drop-off locations and hours are as follows:

  • Quincy Office: 3601 East Lake Centre Drive, Suite 200
  • Jacksonville Office: 325 West State Street, Suite 102
