State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer is inviting aspiring photographers in the 100th District to participate in his “America 250” Photo Contest to update the decor in his Capitol office in Springfield.
“On July 4, 2026, our nation will mark an extraordinary milestone: 250 years since the founding of the United States of America,” Rep. Davidsmeyer said. “As part of America’s 250th birthday celebration, I am encouraging families to take part in local events, explore Illinois and American history, and participate in my ‘America 250’ Photo Contest.”
To participate in Rep. Davidsmeyer’s “America 250” Photo Contest, simply choose a local landmark, festival, or anything patriotic from around the 100th District. Email your photo with contact information to [email protected].
The “America 250” Photo Contest will run through Summer 2026, and winners will be chosen at three different times throughout the summer. The first round of photos will be selected on July 15, then again on August 15 and September 15. Three winners will be selected to have their photos framed and displayed in Rep. Davidsmeyer’s Springfield office.
The 100th District includes all or portions of Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Morgan, Pike, and Scott Counties. Please visit CDDavidsmeyer.org for a map of the 100th District.
