On August 24 State Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer spent time with the first responders, owners and staff the at Westermeyer Industries with a great lunch and an impressive tour of their new facility in Bluffs, Illinois.
Two years after a catastrophic fire destroyed 75,000 square feet of their Scott County business, Gary and Teresa Westermeyer continue to count their blessings and grow their refrigeration business.
In 2001, Gary Westermeyer set out on his own after spending many years in the manufacturing sector of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, founding Westermeyer Industries in the garage of his rural home. Today, Westermeyer products can be found in refrigerant systems around the world. The operation has grown from its humble beginnings to occupy more than 100,000 square feet at the plant in Bluffs, Illinois.
