Davidsmeyer seeks Voters’ Opinions on Important Issues

Springfield, IL…State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Jacksonville) is encouraging constituents to visit his website and complete his online survey.  “My online survey is another way for me to learn what is important to people in my district.  I seek input from my constituents in the 100th legislative district every General Assembly so I can properly represent my district in Springfield.”

Rep. Davidsmeyer produces a constituent questionnaire every General Assembly.  The current 101st General Assembly will end in 2021.

“A lot has changed since my last legislative survey.  At the time of my last survey Illinois was locked in a budget stalemate, which affected 56% of my survey respondents.”

“The 100th General Assembly survey drew major support for my Taxpayers’ Fiscal Charter, which I have re-filed as House Bill 2999.”

“In my last survey 82% supported a two-year spending freeze; 76% opposed unfunded mandates; and 94% supported a required 72-hour electronic posting of the annual budget before legislators could vote on its passage.  These are the main elements in House Bill 2999.”

Davidsmeyer plans to use this year’s survey to let other legislators know what is important to voters in his district.  The survey can be completed by visiting https://bit.ly/2XVDNGn.

“My 101st General Assembly survey focuses on important issues that will shape Illinois for years and decades to come.  I want your opinion on many major issues that we are currently facing.  I appreciate everyone taking a few minutes to share their views as we make these important decisions with both current and future generations in mind.”
