Davidsmeyer Becomes Legislative Member of COGFA

Jacksonville, IL…State Representative CD Davidsmeyer (R-Jacksonville) was recently chosen as one of three Republican House Members selected to the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability (COGFA). “I am honored to have been chosen to represent my district and the State on such an important commission,” said Davidsmeyer.

COGFA is a state commission that develops annual budget projections, reports on the financial condition of state pension systems, reviews proposed state facility closings and helps legislators with developing comprehensive reports.

Representative Davidsmeyer was selected by IL House Republican Leader Jim Durkin to serve on the 12-member commission to work on behalf of the 177 members of the General Assembly and the citizens of Illinois.

“COGFA is a vital resource to the public, General Assembly Members and their legislative staff. The Commission determines the state’s annual revenue projections. It reviews state facility closures and examines the state’s construction projects,” said Davidsmeyer.

“As a member of COGFA, I will have a greater opportunity to share the realities of our State’s current fiscal issues, as well as our future outlook and opportunities,” said Davidsmeyer.

“Also, as someone who represents many state facilities, I will be able to provide to my colleagues in the House and Senate with a better understanding of the invaluable services that our facilities provide to all Illinois citizens.”
