State Representative CD Davidsmeyer (R-Jacksonville) will co-host a senior citizens’ health and information fair with State Senator Sam McCann (R-Carlinville) on Friday, June 12 at the United Methodist Village, 5201 Asbury Ave., Godfrey, IL from 9am to 11am. “This event is more than a health fair it’s an opportunity to meet vendors who improve the lives of seniors,” said Davidsmeyer.
“The senior fair will feature free blood pressure, pulse oximetry, lung function and hearing screenings. Senior citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the free hand massages too.
“Folks from the IL Treasurer, Comptroller, Attorney General and Secretary of State offices will have booths at this year’s fair. The Treasurer’s office will be able to look up lost assets and medals of those who attend. The Attorney General’s office will have helpful literature for seniors who seek protection from identity theft and the Secretary of State’s office will have safe driving guides for those who are preparing to take their driver’s license test,” said Davidsmeyer.
The fair will have free doughnuts, fruit and coffee for guest to enjoy while they speak with vendors and their local elected officials.
“I look forward to discussing with senior citizens the issues that are most important to them. As their State Representative I appreciate the opportunity to discuss what’s most important to those I represent.
