Rep. Davidsmeyer with ISD students.
Jacksonville… State Rep. CD Davidsmeyer (R-Jacksonville) joined students and faculty at the School Choice Week celebration at Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD) in Jacksonville today. National School Choice Week is celebrated every year in January and is a national event that shines a positive spotlight on all types of effective education options for children, including traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online learning, and homeschooling.
“I am here today to give my full support to the families and kids who choose to attend ISD. for educating so many great kids, turning them into successful adults,” said Rep. Davidsmeyer. “Teachers help form our children’s worlds and these specially trained educators help to mold successful adults.”
Illinois School for the Deaf has been educating students to become responsible, self supporting citizens by encouraging students to attain their highest potential in reading, writing and math for over 175 years.
“We are blessed to have great schools like ISD and ISVI that serve so many kids and families throughout Illinois. I am happy to have grown up right here, with a direct understanding of the great work that they do for our community and state.” said Rep. Davidsmeyer.
